Cortavion Wilder Commits to Men’s Basketball!
Men's basketball welcomes 5'9 point guard Cortavion Wilder, from Warren County, Georgia. Wilder is transferring to Trinity from Toccoa Falls College. In high school Wilder averaged 14.5 points per game, 4.0 assists per game, 2.5 steals per game, while shooting 45% from the 3pt line! These stats lead Cortavion to be named to the All-Region 2nd Team! Cortavion was a big part of Warren County High School making back to back sweet 16 state tournament runs. Cortavion is going to bring experience, talent, and leadership to the team next year!
When asked why he chose Trinity, Cortavion stated: "When I visited the campus, everyone I met was nice and they made me really feel at home. I feel like I can really strive here and further my walk with God!"
In the words of Head Coach Jordan Nowell: "I can't wait to add Cortavion to the team this fall! We were able to get him and his family on campus for a great visit. Cortavion is a great shooter, shooting 45% from the 3-point line in his high school career. Beyond being a great shooter, he's a good point guard with excellent handles. He's also a great defender, using his quickness and anticipation skills to frustrate opponents. Cortavion will fit in perfectly with our system and should be able to make an immediate impact for us this up-coming season!"
We are excited to see Cortavion on the court and on campus this fall!
