Lions X-C Qualifies 2 for Nationals

The Lions Men's Cross Country team has four runners this year and they are looking to build upon the success of last year's team which sent two runners to the NCCAA National XC Meet.
Freshman runner Forrest Skinner had a very successful 1st college XC Meet as he ran a 32:54.6 time. Skinner's time was good enough for him to qualify for the NCCAA National XC Meet.

The Lions Women's Cross Country team has five runners this year and they also are looking to add to their past success as they have sent at least one runner to the NCCAA National XC Meet the last four years.
Freshman runner Harlie Sorrell also had a very successful 1st college XC Meet as she ran a 21:08 time. Sorrell's time was good enough for her to qualify for the NCCAA National XC Meet. Her time also set a new school record.

NOTES                                     
- Forrest Skinner qualified for the NCCAA Nationals XC Meet with a time of 32:54 in his 1st meet.
- Harlie Sorrell also qualified for the NCCAA Nationals XC Meet with a time of 21:08 in her 1st meet. She finished 23rd out of 79.
- Harlie Sorrell also broke the Lions Women's Cross Country record previously held by Mandy Wilson.
- Angie Chavez-Valadez ran a 31:38 improving 5 minutes already on her time last year.
