Lions MBB Finishes 11-1 in NIAC Regular Season

HOW IT HAPPENED 

It was Lions in this won as they would jump out to an early 15 to 9 lead.  

The Lions got up by as much as 17 points in the 1st half but the Lakers were able to close the Lions lead to just 9 points at halftime.

The Lions led 35 to 26 at halftime.

The 2nd half saw the Lions build their 9 point lead into a 20 point lead as the Lions were able to keep some distances between them and the Lakers.

The Lions went on to beat the Lakers 76 to 54.

NOTES

- The Lions shot 40 percent from the field (29/72), 37 percent on 3's (11/29) and 43 percent on FT's (7/16).

-The Lions had 10 offensive rebounds.

-The Lions had 18 turnovers.

-Jamal Williams led 4 Lions in double figures with double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.  

-Jaden Shockley hit a three at the 14 minute mark to become the 21st Lions MBB player to eclipse 1,000 career points. Shockley finished with 12 points and moved up to 20th on the Career Scoring List for the Lions.

-Josh Bauska added 11 points off the bench.

-Parker Stemen recorded 12 points on 4 for 5 on threes.

-The Lions finished the NIAC Conference regular season 11-1 and are the NIAC Conference Regular Season Champions.

-The Lions will be the #1 seed in next weekend's NIAC Conference Tournament that takes place at Oak Hills Christian College February 16th to 18th.
